A warmly lit home office desk in Southern Illinois, with a sleek laptop open to a video call interface, a ceramic mug of herbal tea beside it, and a small leafy houseplant in a textured clay pot. The desk sits near a large window overlooking soft-focus Midwest trees and fields, suggesting a peaceful suburban neighborhood. Late afternoon natural light spills across the wooden surface, creating gentle highlights on the laptop keyboard and soft shadows behind the mug. Photographic realism at eye level, with a shallow depth of field that keeps the laptop in sharp focus while the background fades into a calm blur, conveying safety, privacy, and the ease of telepsychology from home.

New perspectives for your mental health journey online

About

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois and a PsyPACT member. I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 8 years, helping veterans facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, moral injury, cognitive impairment, TBI, personality disorders, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, family issues, and end-of-life transitions.

Many of the people I work with are carrying more than one challenge at once, and when anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD begin overlapping with medical issues, grief, conflict, or major life changes, it can feel exhausting and hard to know where to start. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps you make sense of what you are facing and move toward meaningful relief.

Services

New Perspectives Psychotherapy offers personalized, evidence-informed teletherapy for adults across Southern Illinois, with care tailored to medical challenges, life transitions, and trauma, all from the comfort and privacy of home.

A modern bedroom sanctuary adapted for telehealth, featuring a neatly made bed with layered soft gray and blue linens, and a small adjustable overbed table holding an open laptop, headphones, and a glass of water. A discreet medical device and a folded knit blanket sit nearby, subtly suggesting chronic illness care without being clinical. Gentle overcast daylight filters through a large window, creating an even, soothing glow across the room. Photographic realism with an eye-level composition and balanced framing highlights accessibility and dignity, showing how psychotherapy can support individuals managing long-term medical conditions from the comfort of their own space.

Support for chronic illness, pain, and cognitive changes, integrating medical realities with practical coping tools and emotional resilience.

A serene corner of a home styled for end-of-life support through telepsychology: a reclining chair with a plush pillow and soft throw, a wooden side table with an unlit candle, framed landscape art of Southern Illinois fields, and a tablet on a stand angled as if ready for a virtual session. Warm, low evening light from a shaded lamp casts gentle, elongated shadows and a subtle golden halo on the wall, creating a contemplative mood. Shot in photographic realism from a three-quarter angle, the composition balances open negative space with intimate details, evoking quiet comfort, respect, and emotional safety.

Care for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and moral injury, helping you process experiences and build healthier patterns in daily life.
